Test & Trace
In England, using the NHS Test & Trace QR code will help us meet the new legal requirement to record the contact details of customers, visitors and staff on our premises.
Following the launch of the new COVID-19 app, customers and visitors in England will be able to check-in on entry with their phone instead of filling out a check-in book or tool specific to a business.
When someone enters a venue and scans an official QR poster, the venue information will be logged on the user’s phone. This information will stay on a user’s phone for 21 days and if during that time a coronavirus outbreak is identified at a location, the venue ID in question will be sent to all devices. The device will check if users have been at that location and if the app finds a match, users may get an alert with advice on what to do based on the level of risk.
This will allow NHS Test and Trace to contact customers with public health advice should there be a COVID-19 outbreak.
What to do next
- Prior to attending our event we ask that you download the official NHS Test & Trace app on your device.
- Fill out any information that the app asks you to.
- Upon arrival at our venue we will have our own NHS Test & Trace QR Number located along the queue at the entrances for you to scan with your device before entering the trading areas.
- Please show the steward upon entry that your scan has been registered
NHS Test & Trace App
The free NHS COVID-19 app is a vital part of the NHS Test and Trace service in England, and the NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect service. It will be available to download on Thursday 24 September.
If downloading an app is not an option for you then we have a simple form that can be downloaded and completed prior to attending our event, a ‘Deposit Box’ will be located at each entrance for you to deposit your completed form. There will also be blank forms provided at the entrances should anyone need extra’s or is not able to access prior to arrival.

The NHS Test and Trace service as part of safeguarding your personal data, has in place technical, organisational and administrative security measures to protect your personal information that it receives from the venue/establishment, that it holds from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
